Why do you sit there like that?
I know it is wet
And the sun is not sunny.
Be we can have
Lots of good fun that is funny!"

"I know some new tricks . . .
A lot of good tricks
I will show them to you
Your mother
Will not mind at all if I do."
Dr. Suess, The Cat in The Hat
July 2008 . . . My insurance is in place. With my schedule at present, the best month for classes is AUG.
I'll also consider coming to your workshop as I'm doing this month in Alaska, in exchange for fishing . . .
I'll post better pictures of my shop after I finish items 1 thru 999 on my To Do List. I have 3 lathes available, a Powermatic 4224, Nova 3000 and brand new Nova DVR and can tailor classes as you wish including sharpening/tool tips, vacuum chucking, hollow form turning, winged bowls, finials, pepper mills, basic digital craft photography (and power carving if you wish).
Costs and Other Details
1 Day $300
2 Day $550
3 Day $750
Breakfast (if you're up), Lunch, Dinner and Coffee included . . .
I live in Chesapeake, Virginia, just south of Norfolk and west of Virginia Beach about 12 miles north of the North Carolina border. There are plenty of inexpensive hotels nearby. I prefer 1 on 1 instruction (so I can give you my full attention and you can get your money's worth), though I will consider taking 2 students. Of note, my spouse works full-time, and from JAN-MAR and OCT-NOV I'll likely be doing shows, so I will not schedule specific class dates. If you're interested, email me at jsyvertsen@cox.net or call me on my cell at 757.816.5622 and we'll work out a date(s).
